Grace and Doug Truax began publishing at the University of Michigan several decades ago. Since then they have established their own small-press publishing house, Crofton Creek Press, worked for commercial publishers, played a key role in developing an online publisher in the mid- to late-nineties, and freelanced as writers, editors, and proofreaders.

In addition to having edited and published hundreds of books, Doug is the author of several books including a corporate history, two children's books, and an adult nonfiction book on social issues. Together they have developed a community of publishing professionals that provide additional expertise in the fields of proofreading, copyediting, developmental editing, book design, marketing, and distribution.
